I learned wood turning many years ago in High School but gave it up until I retired in 2017. Since then I have worked to create the finest quality bowls using various species of wood and trying to create them with an emphasis on grain patterns and ultra smooth finishes. All my bowls are finished to 10K grit or higher and finished with beeswax and mineral oil and are food safe. While they are food safe I do not recommend using them for acidic foods as this may degrade the finish. If used for food I would recommend wiping them lightly with mineral oil after cleaning.
